Life Coaching vs therapy
Life coaching and therapy are both powerful forms of support, but they serve different purposes. Here's a quick comparison to help you understand which path - or combination - may be right for you.

Life coaching is goal-driven and client-centered, rather than diagnosis-based or open-ended, unlike therapy, which often is. Typically, clients remain in coaching as long as they find it valuable and aligned with their personal growth. Many clients even return later as new goals arise.
Typical Life Coaching Duration:

-
Weekly sessions – Ideal if you're navigating a significant life, work, or emotional challenge and need consistent support.
-
Every 2 weeks – Best for those feeling generally stuck or unfulfilled and are ready to make progress, with time to process and act between sessions.
-
Monthly sessions – Great for individuals focused on specific goals or continuing work after more frequent sessions.
-
Every few months – Perfect for checking in, staying aligned with your goals, and maintaining momentum after completing foundational work.
Disclaimer:
Life coaching is not therapy. Life coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Coaching is designed to support personal development, mindset shifts, and goal achievement for individuals who are functioning and ready to grow.
If it becomes clear that therapy would better support your needs, I will refer you to a licensed mental health professional. LUCA Life Coaching can still complement therapeutic work, and you are welcome to continue or pause coaching as feels right for you.
